Call Center/Medical Scheduler Full Time

Dynamic physician practice looking for an energetic, charismatic, customer service focused individual to schedule appointments and play a vital role in patient care interaction. This individual is the primary point of contact for patients and must be able to multi-task while maintaining a positive attitude.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Schedule appointments in electronic management software.
• Schedule patient referrals in a timely manner.
• Enter patient information into Electronic Medical Record.
• Answer multiline phone system in a courteous manner.
• Verify patient insurance benefits.
• Maintain referral source appointments with feedback communication.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Medical insurance knowledge preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a commitment for success.
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology and general medical practice operations.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Basic office skills such as typing and operating phones.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a medical office required.
• At least 1 year of scheduling experience in a medical office desired.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

This is an in-person position located in Thibodaux, LA. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Schedule is Monday-Friday.
