Machine Operator – General Labor Full Time

This is a manufacturing job in a fast paced rapidly changing environment. You will be part of a team whose performance depends on each individual cooperating with and supporting each other to achieve the production objectives of: Safety, Quality, and Productivity. This will require safe use of various tools, equipment, and machines to prepare, cut, refine, or finish wood products within specifications. You will be working on your feet, sometimes stationary, other times moving between stations. This will involve frequent light lifting and occasionally lifting up to thirty five pounds.

Responsibilities:

• Must be on time and meet reliable attendance to the work schedule.
• Work as directed by your supervisors and team leader.
• Safely operate various types of production machinery used to saw, cut, drill, dry, coat, and sand wood products.
• Following Job Safety and SOP instructions for the equipment or task assigned.
• Observe and comply with company and regulatory policies and laws.
• Maintain an accurate count over an extended period of time.
• Contribute ideas to improve as well as take criticism.

Required Skills:

• Safely adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
• Problem solving to overcome obstacles and barriers to daily goals.
• Capable of reading and writing clearly.
• Understand and follow verbal and written communications.
• Proficient in solving basic mathematical problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Able to accurately interpret and use tape measures and calipers.
• Adept at working safely with a sense of urgency in a team or alone.
• Good hand eye coordination while working at a consistently steady pace.

Required Work Experience:

• This is an entry level position however, experience working in the wood products industry or a production environment will be considered a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $19.50 per hour
