Stand Up Forklift Operator/Inventory clerk Full Time

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling, with a focus on safety and accuracy. Prior experience with warehouse management systems and OSHA standards is highly valued to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Duties

• Load and unload materials using Standup Forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment
• Operate cranes and RF scanners for precise order picking and inventory management
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping & receiving processes
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within the warehouse management system
• Assist with construction or warehouse expansion projects as needed
• Ensure all materials are handled safely according to OSHA regulations
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment such as forklifts and heavy machinery
• Support warehouse supervisors in managing daily operations and logistics flow
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to proper techniques to prevent injury

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and shipping & receiving
• Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks
• Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and tools
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for materials handling
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control
• Strong understanding of materials handling procedures in construction or industrial environments
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
• Prior experience as a warehouse supervisor or in roles involving order picker operations is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory accuracy
