Position Overview

The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in accordance with internal policies and U.S. GAAP. This position is responsible for expense accounting, accruals, and prepaid accounts, along with supporting financial reporting and analysis.

This individual will collaborate closely with Finance and cross-functional partners to drive efficient close processes, enhance reporting quality, and support ongoing financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to operating expenses, accruals, and prepaid accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Manage expense accounting, including review of classifications and accrual assumptions
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete financial data
• Analyze fluctuations in expenses and provide clear insights to leadership
• Monitor prepaid balances and ensure proper amortization in line with accounting policies
• Support cross-functional initiatives that improve financial visibility and alignment
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency
• Assist with implementation or enhancement of accounting systems and tools
• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Respond to ad hoc financial inquiries and analysis requests
• Support internal and external audit processes through preparation of schedules and documentation
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal reporting standards
• Contribute to special projects and additional responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a large organization or public accounting environment
• Strong experience with month-end close and general ledger processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA preferred
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Service-oriented perspective with a focus on meeting internal stakeholder needs

Training
