Position Summary

The Manufacturing Assembler (Foam/Corrugated) is responsible for assembling custom protective packaging products using foam, corrugated, and other materials. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to accurately follow specifications, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble foam and corrugated packaging components according to work orders, drawings, and specifications.
• Operate equipment such as band saws, slitter/scorers, stitching machines, die cutters, and hot glue guns.
• Use measuring tools and read tape measures accurately to fractional dimensions.
• Prepare finished products for shipment, including palletizing, labeling, and wrapping.
• Inspect materials and finished goods for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and production goals.

Competencies and Qualifications

• Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or packaging preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable team player with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable using hand tools and operating production machinery.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Employees must be able to regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds independently; team lifting is required for heavier loads. The role also requires the ability to stand for extended periods (3+ hours) and perform precise manual tasks requiring fine motor coordination. The work environment is a warehouse setting with moderate noise and temperature variations.
