Senior Full Stack Engineer (Frontend-Focused)
We’re working with an a16z-backed AI startup building the operating system for federal procurement — a product already being used across the national security ecosystem.
They’re hiring a hands-on engineer to act as a de facto tech lead, owning the product experience end-to-end.
This is a strong fit for someone who:
- is frontend-leaning
- cares deeply about product quality and UX
- but is still comfortable working across the stack
What You’ll Do
- Own and ship user-facing features end-to-end
- Drive frontend architecture (React / TypeScript) and product quality
- Build polished, intuitive workflows, not just functional systems
- Contribute across the stack (APIs, backend logic, data models)
- Partner closely with product + design to shape real user experiences
- Set a high technical bar through code reviews and mentorship
- Operate with high ownership in a fast-moving environment
What They’re Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong frontend foundation (React, TypeScript)
- Ability to work across the full stack
- Experience building user-facing SaaS or product-driven applications
- Clear product sense / design intuition (cares how things feel)
- Experience in startup or high-ownership environments
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and shipping quickly
Nice to Have
- Experience at product-led companies (Notion, HubSpot, Stripe, etc.)
- Exposure to AI / LLM-powered systems
- Experience with workflow-heavy or CRM-like products
- Prior tech lead or mentorship experience
