Full Job Description
W&L Collision Center is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Parts Assistant to support our parts department operations. This role works closely with the Parts Manager to ensure efficient inventory control, timely ordering, accurate distribution of parts, and excellent internal and external customer service. If you have automotive knowledge and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Parts Manager with daily operations and inventory management tasks.
- Process daily stock orders and help maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Keep designated parts storage areas clean, organized, and orderly.
- Answer incoming phone calls, provide pricing, and assist with parts inquiries.
- Ensure internal parts requests are properly invoiced to service work orders.
- Follow up on pending and backordered parts.
- Replenish assigned stock daily.
- Prepare and organize orders for shipping, delivery, or customer pickup.
- Notify technicians and service advisors when special-order parts arrive.
- Assist with receiving and checking in merchandise.
- Locate and deliver parts to technicians as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of vehicles, automotive systems, and replacement parts preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Professional and dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy shop environment.
- Previous parts department, automotive, warehouse, or collision center experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
