Freelance Illustrator – Remote Full Time NEW

This role involves creating engaging illustrations for a children’s workbook and supporting website, focusing on five comic-style animal characters. The illustrations will be used to enhance the workbook’s narrative, making exercises more approachable and enjoyable for children facing learning challenges. The project is rooted in personal experience and research, aiming to provide families with supportive, relatable visual content. Sample templates and references for the desired style will be provided, and there is flexibility to adapt or modify the characters’ designs based on creative input and further discussion.

Deliverables

• Design and illustrate five unique comic-style animal characters based on provided templates and project requirements
• Create illustrations that align with the workbook’s story and support the emotional needs of children
• Adapt and modify character designs as needed to ensure relatability and engagement
• Produce digital artwork suitable for both print and web use
• Collaborate on feedback and revisions to achieve the desired visual outcome

Requirements

• Proven experience in illustration, preferably with a focus on children’s content or educational materials
• Strong portfolio demonstrating comic-style character design and storytelling through visuals
• Ability to interpret creative briefs and adapt to feedback
• Proficiency in digital illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate)
