Curriculum Administrator Full Time

Under the general supervision of the principal, work with the administration, classroom teachers, special educators, and learning area leaders (LALs) to ensure that high quality, engaging instruction is provided to all students. The position coordinates the implementation of competencies, provides coaching to support educator effectiveness, manages the administration and analysis of student assessments and data, and oversees the availability of necessary resources.

Essential Duties

• Develops, implements and evaluates curriculum for improvement of instruction and student assessment.
• Guides professional staff in the implementation of student-centered, competency-based learning.
• Directs and plans professional learning opportunities for staff in the area of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• When relevant, coordinates with the curriculum administrator at Exeter High School to accomplish the three bullets above.
• Assists the administration and teachers in the setting of appropriate instructional goals that are consistent between all grade levels.
• Provides modeling and coaching for teachers and instructional support staff.
• Facilitates presentations, professional development and discussions to help teachers remain current in best practices.
• Supervise the administration and analysis of all state and local testing programs within the school.
• Collaborates with teachers, LALs and professional staff to analyze assessment results and create plans to build on strengths and address opportunities for growth.
• Coordinates and assists with pupil progress monitoring in the core content areas.
• Assists with the preparation of appropriate budgeting to meet curricula goals and student needs.
• Coordinates the development and implementation of federal or other grants to support the instructional goals of the school.
• Represents the school in meetings and conferences related to curriculum and assessment.
• Makes recommendations pertaining to policy and procedure to the Principal and SAU administration.
• Represents the school within community forums and other groups for the purpose of maintaining ongoing community support for educational goals and providing equitable learning opportunities for all students.
• Attends, or find representatives to attend, SAU Competency Review Cycles.

• Knowledge of current education and instructional theories, methodologies, techniques and best practices as related to instruction and curriculum at the appropriate learning level.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, lesson development and personalized learning.
• Knowledge of current educational technology trends in a competency-based education environment.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop, conduct, and/or facilitate professional learning opportunities (face-to-face or online) to adult learners in individualized, small, and/or large settings.
• Knowledge of cultural diversity and inclusivity as related to student performance educational practices.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders/partners including policymakers, higher education, business, research, and non-profit.
• Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, organize, and schedule work to meet established deadlines and goals.
• Ability to analyze data from multiple sources to design, implement, monitor and evaluate a successful instructional program.
• Understands state laws and school policies around curriculum, instruction and assessment.

Additional Duties

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal.

Minimum Qualifications Profile

• Has obtained a Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Has completed a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
• Has a NH certification as a Curriculum Administrator.
• Has demonstrated successful leadership/administrative ability in designing and implementing effective instructional programs and supervising, mentoring and training staff/personnel, preferably in more than one capactiy.

The job is performed for the most part in a school setting with occasional outside weather conditions. The noise level is that of a typical school. Mental demands requiring decision making, analytical and organizational skills in order to achieve work objectives, draw daily operational conclusions, solve practical problems, use computer technology and to present information for use by administration in making decisions.
