Full Job Description
Northwest Medical Specialties, PLLC offers South Sound residents compassionate, experienced and innovative treatment in cancer care. We have an immediate opportunity for a full time Medical Laboratory Tech to join our team.
This is a technical position responsible for:
- Accurate and efficient testing and reporting of lab results
- Ensuring the integrity of all testing systems
- Specimen procurement, processing, and distribution procedures
- Training new medical technologists/technicians
Requirements:
- Medical Technologist(ASCP), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA), or HEW certification
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program, OR 1 year equivalent work experience working as a lab technician.
- Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical or biological discipline and 1 year of clinical laboratory training in an accredited school of Medical Technology.

We are among the regional leaders in clinical trials, with one of the largest accrual rates within the Pacific Northwest, allowing patients access to cutting-edge treatment otherwise unavailable in the area. We are also founding members of the Quality Cancer Care Alliance (QCCA).
Location: This position will be primarily based in Tacoma but will need to float to other locations (e.g., Puyallup) on occasion.

**To ensure the safety of NWMS’ vulnerable patient populations, we require post-offer proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot and COVID-19. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
Pay: $25.97 – $41.92 per hour
