With over a decade in the market and a globally distributed team, they are currently undergoing a major transformation toward AI-first software development, redefining how modern engineering teams build, test, and deliver software.

About The Role

We’re seeking a highly experienced Full Stack Engineer at the Staff/Principal level to join a globally distributed team. This role is pivotal in transitioning the organization to an AI‑first, shift‑left development model. The ideal candidate will not only contribute technically but also provide leadership in reshaping how software is built across teams. You will work closely with senior engineers to reduce reliance on manual coding, enhance planning and validation workflows, and introduce AI‑assisted development practices to improve engineering quality and speed.

This position is more than traditional feature development; it involves system-level thinking, technical leadership, and strategic collaboration. You will be hands-on, but your biggest impact will come from guiding teams, challenging assumptions, and promoting cross‑stack collaboration across web, mobile, and backend teams.

Key responsibilities include driving process transformation, improving CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability practices, as well as mentoring engineers to adopt AI-enabled workflows. Your expertise will influence the organization’s technical direction and help establish best practices for modern, AI-driven software development.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong full-stack expertise
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React (or similar modern frontend frameworks)
• Experience in Backend API development using Node.js or similar technologies
• Hands-on experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Strong understanding of system design and modern architectures, including microservices and event-driven systems
• Experience with AI-First Development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT, and the ability to validate AI-generated code
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools
• Leadership skills with the ability to influence teams without formal authority
• Fluent in English and based in Latin America

Responsibilities

• Contribute to full-stack development, focusing on both frontend and backend tasks, while promoting AI-assisted workflows
• Help teams adopt improved planning, code generation, and validation practices leveraging AI tools
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate testing processes, and improve system observability for better debugging and monitoring
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to optimize delivery speed and quality
• Mentor and coach engineers to develop full-stack proficiency and AI-enabled development skills
• Provide technical leadership by challenging assumptions, promoting cross-team collaboration, and ensuring best practices are followed
• Design and improve system architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Stay updated on emerging AI and software development trends to incorporate innovative solutions into projects
