About the Role

We are seeking a high-octane VP of Global Airline Sales to serve as the primary engine for our growth within the aviation sector. This is not a role for a bystander; we need a senior commercial leader who will take personal “skin-in-the-game” responsibility for unlocking and scaling multi-million dollar opportunities with airlines and distribution partners worldwide.

While you will provide the roadmap, your primary focus is execution. You will lead from the front, spearheading complex negotiations and ensuring Protect Group becomes the dominant ancillary partner for airlines globally.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Generation & Market Penetration

• Own the Number: Drive the global revenue targets for the airline vertical, ensuring a relentless focus on pipeline velocity and deal closure.
• Target Acquisition: Identify and aggressively pursue high-value airline targets and distribution partners (GDS, NDC, Aggregators) across all global regions.
• Direct Execution: Transition from high-level planning to active deal-shaping, leading the charge on “must-win” pitches and strategic tenders.

2. Strategic Deal Architecture

• Commercial Engineering: Define and negotiate high-impact commercial models (rev-share, fixed fee, bundles) that maximize P&L performance for both Protect Group and our partners.
• Ecosystem Leveraging: Build executive-level relationships within GDS and aggregator platforms to secure preferred positioning that results in immediate sales volume.
• Competitor Outpacing: Continuously refine our pitch and positioning to ensure we remain the most compelling financial choice for full-service, LCC, and regional carriers.

3. Sales Enablement & Global Leadership

• The “Closer’s” Playbook: Create high-performance sales playbooks that empower regional teams to shorten sales cycles and increase win rates.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the commercial “voice of the customer” to Product and Marketing, ensuring our roadmap is built to win more business.
• Board-Level Reporting: Provide senior leadership with clear, data-backed narratives regarding revenue forecasts, market share gains, and strategic wins.

What We’re Looking For

• The Track Record: 10+ years of “heavy-duty” commercial experience in travel or airline tech, with a proven history of personally closing large-scale strategic deals.
• The Industry Edge: Deep, functional knowledge of airline economics, NDC, and GDS—you know exactly how airlines make money and where our solution fits.
• The Closer Mentality: An ability to move comfortably from a board-room presentation to a gritty, complex contract negotiation.
• Global Reach: Experience navigating and closing deals across diverse cultures and markets, from the Americas to Asia-Pacific.
