Role Description
This is a part-time, un-paid, fully remote role. It is a great opportunity to gain work experience in 3D design or Aerospace Industry. Minimum 20 hours a week. Do not need bachelors degree. We are looking for people with 3D design software knowledge, experience and interest. This work involves designing drone aircraft parts in 3D that can be printed.
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Solakair, you will be involved in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems for drones. Daily tasks include using computer-aided design (CAD) software for machine design, participating in research and development (R&D) projects, and managing project timelines and deliverables.
The internship is in compliance with The Fair Labor Standards Act FLSA.
Interns will receive regular supervision, feedback, and guidance from an experienced professional. Interns should have 1:1 time with experienced staff and receive regular supervision, direction, and mentorship throughout the course of the internship. The intern should contribute to the efforts of a greater team and gain professional experience.
Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering skills and interest.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Any one of the 3D design software is ok. SolidWorks preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with the drone or aerospace industry is a plus.
