About the Role
As a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) at S-5!, you’ll play a key role in expanding S-5!’s presence across the Great Lakes and Mid-West regions. This is a high-impact, relationship-driven role where you’ll be working directly with distributors, contractors, and installers to grow sales, educate the market, and drive adoption of our solutions.
This isn’t an entry-level role, we’re looking for someone who already knows the Great Lakes and Mid West markets, understands metal and/or single-ply roofing, and ideally has experience selling snow retention, solar attachments, and other engineered rooftop systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Relationship & Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for distributors and contractors across your territory
● Develop & Close Sales: Convert, upsell, and grow existing accounts while gaining market share by developing new business with contractors and distributors
● Business Development: Identify new distribution channels, vertical markets and end-users to expand reach
● Lead Management: Track project opportunities, follow up on leads, and build relationships with key decision-makers
● Product Expertise: Provide technical support, product education, and training across multiple audiences
● Customer Needs Analysis: Identify product gaps and provide feedback to R&D
● Marketing Collaboration: Partner with marketing to execute campaigns and initiatives
● Industry Engagement: Attend trade shows, events, and industry associations to stay connected and visible
● Pricing Strategy: Work with distributors to stay competitive and win business
● Team Collaboration: Share insights and best practices across teams
● Additional Responsibilities: Support regional initiatives as needed
● Strategic Planning: Develop and execute territory sales strategies to drive growth
What We’re Looking For
● Demonstrates a growth-oriented mindset and a collaborative approach to increase territory performance
● Proven experience in metal roofing sales (required)
● Experience with snow retention systems (strongly preferred)
● Established book of business in the Midwest-Great Lakes Region
● Strong relationships with contractors, distributors, architects, engineers, and installers
● Deep understanding of roofing systems and field application
● Ability to work independently and manage a multi-state territory
● Willingness to travel, including air travel (50–75%+)
