About The Role

The Flow Builder team at Postscript is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the company’s message orchestration platform. This platform is crucial for enabling merchants to automate and manage their SMS marketing campaigns efficiently. As part of our ongoing growth, we are enhancing the platform by migrating key components from Python to Go microservices, aiming to improve scalability, flexibility, and performance. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing and implementing microservices in Go, utilizing SQL and NoSQL databases within an AWS environment. Your expertise will help elevate our platform to new levels of efficiency and robustness, supporting the fast-growing needs of our merchant base.

This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to a rapidly evolving and innovative platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, experience leading projects from start to finish, and a passion for building scalable, flexible systems that adapt to changing business strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of professional software development experience
• At least 5+ years of experience in Go programming
• Proven track record of leading projects and delivering end-to-end backend solutions
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architecture
• Strong proficiency with SQL and NoSQL datastores
• Experience working within an AWS environment
• Familiarity with Python and React (TypeScript) is a plus
• Experience in fast-paced development environments
• Knowledge of low latency and high throughput application development
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirements

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices in Go to support platform scalability and performance
• Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases within an AWS cloud environment to ensure data integrity and efficiency
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices, design patterns, and architecture decisions
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and collaborative problem-solving
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the SDLC, including Agile methodologies
• Work closely with product teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Assist in migrating existing codebases and integrating new features into the platform
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security through best practices and proactive monitoring
