Full Job Description
CGLS is currently hiring a Site Safety Professional to support an active utility-scale solar construction project in the Farmville, Virginia area. We are seeking a motivated safety professional who understands the importance of field presence, hazard recognition, crew engagement, and maintaining strong safety performance in a dynamic construction environment.
The right candidate will be comfortable working directly with project leadership, employees, and subcontractors to identify risks, reinforce expectations, and support safe execution of daily work activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily field safety oversight
- Site inspections and documented observations
- JSA and pre-task plan support
- Hazard identification and corrective action follow-up
- Incident and near miss support
- OSHA and company policy compliance monitoring
- Ongoing communication with site leadership and crews
Minimum Requirements:
- Construction safety experience
- OSHA 30
- Strong communication and leadership ability
- Ability to work full-time in the field on an active construction site
Preferred Experience:
- Solar, civil, utility, or industrial construction
- Incident reporting and investigation
- CPR/First Aid
