Full Job Description
We are seeking a diligent showroom assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service and an interest in design. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to grow and learn as the position evolves to fit the needs of our small business.
The initial day to day responsibilities for this position include attending to the needs of walk-in clients, answering phone calls, and becoming familiar with our product and services. In time, the role will also cover meetings with walk-in clients in order to prepare preliminary designs and quotes.
Responsibilities
- Receive and attend to walk-in clients
- Answer and direct incoming calls
- Print and copy blueprints, brochures, and other media
- Inventory and reorder finish samples
- (In time) Scale blueprints and interpret dimensions
- (In time) Learn to use software for digital designs
- (In time) Learn to use software for pricing
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in customer service or sales
- Proven communication and time management skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- (Bonus) Background in residential construction or interior design
Hourly wage depends on experience. Willing to train the right candidate.
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
