Job Description:
The Shipping Lead is responsible for real time analysis, coordination and balance of Shipping Operations including allocation of picking/loading tasks.
Job Responsibility:
- Recording and reporting of outbound deliveries
- Provides support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner
- Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Provides administrative support for the Shipping Managers
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all needed systems
- Support Picking and Loading operation as needed
- Under direct supervision of the DC Shipping Managers
- Work is performed within standard policies and procedures with opportunity for unreviewed decision-making
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of warehouse experience including leadership experience in a warehouse environment
- Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie
- Detail oriented and accurate
- Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trend and patterns in productivity data
- Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings
- Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position
