Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Seed Treatment Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the application of seed treatments, ensuring seeds are properly coated with protective chemicals to promote healthy growth and maximize crop yields. Your expertise will help support agricultural productivity by maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and precision throughout the seed treatment process. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain seed treatment equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS), to ensure accurate application of seed coatings.
- Perform routine equipment repairs and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
- Handle heavy equipment operation safely during seed loading, unloading, and transportation within the facility.
- Conduct water treatment and wastewater management processes to maintain environmental compliance and safety standards.
- Collect and analyze data related to treatment processes, ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications.
- Assist with construction or maintenance tasks involving plumbing, mechanical systems, or heavy lifting as needed.
- Monitor chemical levels, perform basic math calculations for dosage adjustments, and document all operational activities thoroughly.
Experience
- Prior experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) in an industrial or agricultural setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience operating heavy machinery or construction equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with water treatment, wastewater management, or similar environmental processes is advantageous.
- Strong analysis skills with attention to detail in data collection and quality assurance tasks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing routine maintenance work.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
