Sanitation Worker (Monday – Friday, 10:15 pm – 6:00 am) Full Time

This position is eligible for “Sunshine Pay”. Typical shift is less than 8 hrs. per shift, but will get paid for a full 8 hrs.*

Job Summary

This position will use a variety of chemicals and sanitation equipment to clean and sanitize food processing equipment.

Essential Functions

• Remove all debris from machinery, floors, and contact points prior to cleaning.
• Pre-rinse machinery and contact surfaces.
• Foam scrub and rinse the entire processing room (i.e. walls, floors, food contact surfaces, equipment) prior to sanitizing.
• Make sure all electrical equipment is bagged prior to liquid use. Ensure aisle ways and raw material storage area are swept and trash cans dumped.
• Handle chemicals used in the process of cleaning and sanitation by following safety procedures.
• Maintain and proper use of equipment.
• Observe and follow GMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
• Complete all daily paperwork required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must be 25 years +
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Previous food plant sanitation experience a plus.
• Detail-oriented.
• Able to follow verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work as a team player and ability to work independently.
• Time management skills.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position working Monday – Friday from 10:15 pm – 6:00 am. May be required to work some weekends as needed.

We guarantee 8 hours’ pay, regardless of whether the job/schedule is done before the 8-hour duration.

However, in order to be eligible for Sunshine pay employees must comply with our attendance policy.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to operate and use all necessary equipment. Ability to work outside and inside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures.

Education & Experience

• Prior food plant sanitation experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience preferred but not required.
