Join our dynamic team as a Retail Store Associate and Pool Cleaner, where you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming shopping environment while ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our pool areas. This energetic position combines retail sales responsibilities with pool maintenance duties, offering a diverse and engaging work experience. You’ll interact with customers, assist with product demonstrations, handle transactions, and maintain pristine pool facilities to deliver exceptional service and satisfaction.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries with clear communication.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts.
• Assist customers with product demos, upselling relevant items to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with popular products.
• Perform routine pool cleaning tasks, including skimming, vacuuming, chemical balancing, and equipment maintenance to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Manage inventory levels by stocking supplies and reporting low stock items promptly.
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries about products or pool services.

Requirements

• Prior retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment.
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions.
• Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and professionally.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for sales and inventory management.
• Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management.
• Familiarity with pool cleaning equipment and safety protocols is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
