Receptionist/Leasing Assistant Full Time

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist/Leasing Assistant role based in New York, NY. The Receptionist/Leasing Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for residents, prospective tenants, visitors, and vendors, greeting guests, answering phones, and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members. Responsibilities include managing the front desk, handling mail and package deliveries, maintaining office supplies, and performing general clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation. The role will assist with leasing activities by scheduling showings, preparing application packets, collecting required documentation, and updating leasing and resident records in relevant systems. The Receptionist/Leasing Assistant will also support property management staff with resident communications, coordinating appointments, and helping ensure a professional, welcoming environment in the office and lobby areas.
Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with residents, prospects, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in receptionist duties and phone etiquette, including operating multi-line phone systems and managing a busy front desk.
• Solid clerical skills, such as data entry, filing, document organization, and basic office software (email, word processing, spreadsheets).
• Ability to support leasing activities, including appointment scheduling, application processing, and maintaining accurate resident and prospect records.
• High level of reliability, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
• Previous experience in property management, residential leasing, hospitality, or a similar front desk role is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training in business, real estate, or office administration is a plus.
• Comfort working on-site in New York, NY, with a professional appearance and demeanor aligned with a resident-facing role.
