Receptionist – Front Desk (South Holland Office)

Serenity Home Healthcare is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at our South Holland office. The receptionist serves as the first point of contact for our patients, caregivers, staff, and visitors and plays a key role in maintaining a welcoming and professional office environment.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

We also welcome recent graduates who are eager to learn and start their career in healthcare administration.

Key Responsibilities

Call Management

• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally using the company greeting 
• Direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member 
• Take accurate messages and ensure timely follow-up 
• Escalate urgent matters appropriately

Front Desk & Visitor Support

• Greet visitors warmly and professionally 
• Check in visitors and notify appropriate staff members 
• Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional reception area 
• Monitor lobby activity and assist visitors as needed

Administrative Support

• Distribute incoming mail to the appropriate staff members 
• Provide accurate information and internal extensions when needed

Professional Expectations

• Maintain a calm, courteous, and professional demeanor 
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with callers, visitors, and staff 
• Always protect patient and employee confidentiality 
• Follow all HIPAA and company privacy policies 
• Work collaboratively with team members and assist during busy periods

Qualifications

• Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred, but not required 
• Bilingual Spanish
• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply 
• Excellent communication and phone etiquette 
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills 
• Professional appearance and attitude 
• Basic computer skills 
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment 
• Willingness to occasionally travel to other Serenity Home Healthcare locations as a “floater” when coverage is needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
