What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Conduct comprehensive patient interviews to obtain and verify accurate patient information
• Assign coordination of benefits in the hospital information system
• Schedule patient exams while ensuring all necessary information is communicated to patients
• Verify appointment availability and manage eligibility and benefits for insurance
• Provide exemplary customer service by interacting with patients, staff, and clinicians

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1+ years of previous registration and/or insurance verification experience
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Strong communication skills for interaction with patients and insurance companies
• Proven ability to accept constructive feedback and demonstrate teamwork

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in scheduling or patient registration
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD coding for insurance authorizations
• Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills in a clinical environment
