We are currently hiring a Propane Service Technician for our Grayling, LP location. We are looking for someone that exhibits outstanding customer service skills and can endure physical labor in all types of weather. The ideal candidate will have experience working with propane, gas lines, appliance hook ups, and driving a commercial boom- truck

Service Work

• Customer Service Skills
• Ability to drive commercial Boom Truck
• Be able to life up to a 100 pounds
• Install propane tanks at residential homes and business
• Install gas lines
• Must be able perform physical labor in four seasons weather
• Trenching gas lines using both manual and powered labor
• Ability to size gas lines so that there is adequate pressure to appliances and generators
• Ability to access crawl spaces to check for gas leaks and to make repairs if necessary
• Install regulators and adjust pressure appropriately
• Perform gas checks and light appliances
• Install and work on propane refillers
• Able to rotate schedule to be on call

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Commercial Driver’s license (Class B) with air brakes, hazardous materials and tanker endorsements.
• Meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and medical requirements.
• Pass substance abuse screening and agree to random substance abuse screening as required by Company Policy.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job such as lifting to 100 lbs
