Copper Country Community Mental Health is hiring a full-time Program Director to join their team overseeing programmatic, clinical and fiscal operations of our Outpatient Department in Houghton, Michigan.
As the Outpatient Program Director, you will provide leadership and oversight for the Outpatient Department under the direction of the Associate Director. This role is responsible for supporting strong clinical services, effective program operations, and responsible fiscal management.
This position is ideal for an experienced behavioral health professional who enjoys leading teams, supporting quality clinical care, and helping programs run smoothly and effectively.
What We Offer.
- $77,820 – $97,440 annual starting salary based on experience.

- Full-time Monday – Friday position generally working 8am – 5pm.
What You Will Do.
- Oversee the programmatic, clinical, and fiscal needs of the Outpatient Department.
- Ensure outpatient programs are appropriately staffed and operating effectively.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with applicable plans, policies, and procedures.
- Provide direct supervision to Outpatient Clinicians, Peer Support Specialist, Parent Support Specialist, Youth Peer Support Specialist, Autism Manager, and Acute Services Manager.
- Work collaboratively with leadership, staff, community partners, and other departments.
- Help maintain high-quality, person-centered care for individuals and families served by CCMH.
What We Are Looking For.
- A Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field is required.
- Current Michigan licensure, or on track to obtain licensure in the near future, as a social worker, psychologist, or counselor.
- At least 2 years of experience providing direct services in an outpatient setting.
- Experience working in a community-based mental health services system preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to supervise, support, and guide a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to person-centered, community-based mental health services.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, leadership, individuals served, families, and community partners.
