Description
Checking patients in and out of their appointments. This individual will be sitting at the front desk. They will be entering charges but they will be taking calls from internal employees. They will be using IDX software and medconnect and collecting copays so there will be some cash handling/cards and checks. Answering all phones, ensuring patient flow and comfort level is positive, handling financial aspects, copays, etc.
Serves as the initial contact person at the medical practice or hospital department and greets patients in a courteous and
professional manner. Coordinates efficient patient flow through the practice or hospital department assigned. Makes
appointments, registers patients, collects co-payments, Time-of-Service (TOS) payment processing, updates demographic and
insurance information, and provides patients with follow-up appointments and requisitions for tests.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Need someone who has patient registration/medical front desk experience (2+ years).
Previous Medstar IDX experience is a plus. Strong customer service skills.
Great customer service background, any heavy medical scheduling experience is a plus.
Insurance Verification experience is a huge plus!
Someone coming from a busy practice would be a plus
Must have excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $24.00/hr.
