Duties

• Operate and monitor food processing equipment in accordance with FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure product safety and quality
• Assist with packaging operations, including loading, sealing, labeling, and inspecting finished products for defects or contamination
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas by following strict sanitation protocols to uphold food safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment; perform basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary
• Support food safety initiatives by documenting procedures, monitoring critical control points, and participating in sanitation audits
• Use basic math skills for measurements, ingredient calculations, and quality checks during production runs
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move raw materials or finished goods within the facility

Experience

• Prior experience working in a food processing plant or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP standards, and food safety practices is highly desirable
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with machinery maintenance is a plus
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols at all times
• Basic math skills for measurements and quality assessments are essential
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within a food industry setting
