As we expand into the US institutional market, we’re looking for a rare operator: someone who has lived on both sides of the alternative data trade.
THE OPPORTUNITY
You’re joining at the inflection point — where a proven data business makes its move into the global institutional arena. Your job is to open doors, build the initial client base, and help define how CMoney positions its data for hedge funds, quant funds, and systematic asset managers in the US.
If you’ve ever thought about what it would look like to bring a world-class Asian data set to a market that’s still figuring out how to access it, this is that conversation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Identify and engage target accounts — hedge funds, quant/systematic strategies, AMCs — with a focus on equity and alternative data buyers. Represent CMoney at key industry events.
- Lead the full sales motion from initial outreach through contract close.
- Translate complex, Taiwan-specific datasets into compelling value propositions for US institutional clients.
- Feed market intelligence back to the product team to shape the roadmap.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Buy-side experience — you’ve sat inside a hedge fund or systematic fund and know what drives a data acquisition decision.
- Vendor/data sales experience — you’ve sold institutional data, analytics, or financial information products to professional investors.
- Network in the institutional data ecosystem — Sell-side data desks, quant research communities.
