Medical Laboratory Technician Full Time NEW

Northwest Medical Specialties, PLLC offers South Sound residents compassionate, experienced and innovative treatment in cancer care. We have an immediate opportunity for a full time Medical Laboratory Tech to join our team.

This is a technical position responsible for:

• Accurate and efficient testing and reporting of lab results
• Ensuring the integrity of all testing systems
• Specimen procurement, processing, and distribution procedures
• Training new medical technologists/technicians

Requirements:

• Medical Technologist(ASCP), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA), or HEW certification
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program, OR 1 year equivalent work experience working as a lab technician.
• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical or biological discipline and 1 year of clinical laboratory training in an accredited school of Medical Technology.

Location: This position will be primarily based in Tacoma but will need to float to other locations (e.g., Puyallup) on occasion.
