About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing critical applications that improve the delivery of services to veterans. You will work with modern frameworks and tools, including React 18, TypeScript, Docker, and Kubernetes, to build efficient and reliable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JavaScript development, experience working with federal agencies, and a passion for creating high-quality, scalable applications. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional JavaScript development experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages
• Experience with React 18 framework and modern front-end development practices
• Strong knowledge of GitHub for version control and collaboration
• Experience deploying and managing applications using Docker containers and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and third-party service integration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools such as Jenkins, Harness, Nexus, SonarQube, and HashiCorp Vault
• Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience supporting federal agencies and working within an Agile development environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in team settings and with clients
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency with at least 3 years of residence in the U.S.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Civilian Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable JavaScript applications using React 18
• Support and implement application features with TypeScript, ensuring code quality and performance
• Deploy applications within Docker containers and manage them using Kubernetes orchestration
• Support containerization efforts, including building, testing, and promoting container images
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance application functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
• Conduct code reviews, identify defects, and implement fixes to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Monitor system metrics and performance using Prometheus and Grafana dashboards, making improvements as needed
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and system configurations
• Participate actively in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with testers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure project success and timely delivery
