Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA, for a Head of AI on the Founding Leadership Team at LegalCare. The Head of AI will lead the development and deployment of state-of-the-art AI solutions to enhance LegalCare’s operations. Responsibilities include designing and implementing AI models, researching and innovating cutting-edge techniques, collaborating cross-functionally with teams, and ensuring the integration of machine learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and other AI applications in legal workflows. The candidate will play a critical role in building the AI strategy and scaling the technical infrastructure of the company.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Computer Science, Data Science, and software engineering principles
• Proficiency in Pattern Recognition and building predictive models
• Deep knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), including experience with text analysis, entity recognition, and language transformers
• Experience in Computer Vision and its application in automating document processing
• Demonstrated ability to lead AI-focused teams and drive technical innovation
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into AI-driven solutions
• Doctorate or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
• Industry experience in legal tech or enterprise automation is a significant advantage
