Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field (required by hire date)
• Strong background in typography and previous related student internship experience (highly valued)
• Demonstrated skill and interest in 3-dimensional design, wayfinding, exhibition design, and environments
• Proficiency on Macintosh computers with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Skills in AutoCAD and SketchUp are a plus
• Strong design orientation, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the design process from conceptual development through artwork production
• Assist in recommendations for concept, design, art direction, and production for various graphics, signage, and exhibits
• Design a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics, maps, and print layouts in collaboration with the environmental graphics team
• Work with clients to interpret and translate their needs and ideas into compelling visual concepts
• Prepare photo visualizations and mockups of signage for placement, content, and usage
• Create camera-ready artwork suitable for fabrication
• Coordinate with vendors and fabricators to ensure quality and accuracy of design implementation
