Position Overview | Global Product Manager

Our client is a leading global supplier of paints, coatings, and specialty materials, serving industries like automotive, aerospace, construction, and industrial manufacturing.

This is a newly created Global Product Manager role within the commercial industrial coatings space.

Today, many customers still rely on manual processes for color selection and sampling. This role is designed to spearhead the definition, development, and launch of digital, color, and equipment solutions that transform the customer experience globally and create new revenue streams while increasing customer stickiness.

The focus of the role is on understanding customer and market needs and translating those into product strategy and roadmap direction. The counterpart function is more technical, responsible for building and developing the solutions. This role acts as the voice of the customer, ensuring products and tools are aligned with real market needs.

You will report to the Head of Strategic Marketing, Industrial Coatings

Responsibilities:

• Lead the definition of global digital, color, and equipment solutions in collaboration with global strategic market managers and regional products managers to solve customer pain points
• Assess digital, color and equipment capability across regions and platforms
• Develop digital, color, and equipment product and service roadmaps in target market segments to support our growth strategies
• Evaluate market trends and perform competitive intelligence and benchmarking regarding digital customer experience, including Voice of Customer
• Design user-centric features and experiences using personas and journey mapping techniques
• Develop value propositions and marketing messaging for new solutions from value creation to value capture, from pain to strategy
• Support pricing, bundles, subscription definitions
• Collaborate with internal team members, using assigned resources for product/solution development activities
• Partner with leaders and teams to align value propositions and modernize go-to-market strategies with these solutions
• Align new product launch process across regions to ensure excellent executions and successful rollout
• Help develop training on the solutions and their value propositions for our sales and service teams
• Foster collaboration across software development, program management, and product management teams to ensure delivery of roadmap milestones
• Develop strategic partnerships with software vendors and equipment partners to deliver a seamless digital customer experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, digital, business management, marketing, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in a large global industrial B2B organization and experience delivering digital solutions or transformation products
• Established industry reputation in specific markets
• Experience working globally with teams and customers, understanding cultural nuances to build trust and relationship with people
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, with a focus on prioritizing features and technologies that guide outcomes
• Able to travel up to 20%, including international travel
