General Construction Laborer Full Time NEW

We are looking for a competent Construction Laborer to work on underground utilities, roads, parking lots and other construction projects. You must have physical strength, endurance, learn quickly and work well with your hands. Being good at collaborating and following instructions and safety rules are essential. Work will be outdoors in all weather conditions and elements on a construction site.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects
• Shovel stone and dirt as needed
• Unload and carry materials & tools at construction sites
• Use equipment to tamp soils & ABC stone
• Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g cement)
• Smooth and level new concrete or other materials
• Clean out site from debris and discarded material
• Follow direction of skilled labors, foreman, and superintendents
• Assist in laying pipe, adjusting utilities, shoveling stone, and loading/unloading equipment

Skills

• Proven experience as construction worker
• Experience in operating equipment and tools like trench rollers, quickie saws, drills, pneumatic jack hammers etc.
• Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods
• Able to work in a team
• Able to read instructions and blueprints when needed
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination
• Clean driving record & NC driver’s license
• Pass pre-employment drug screening/background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
