About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Full Stack Engineer to lead the development of our mobile application builder from private beta to a fully-fledged product. This pivotal role involves expanding Bubble’s web editor to support mobile app creation, designing and implementing deployment pipelines for publishing to the Apple App Store and Google Play, and developing a React Native runtime integrated with Bubble’s backend. The role offers an exciting opportunity to shape a key initiative for 2025 that will open new markets and significantly impact our business. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product, design, and support teams to ensure a seamless, high-quality user experience across web and mobile platforms. Additionally, mentoring engineering team members and partnering with leadership to define and execute strategic roadmaps will be integral to this role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, preferably in high-growth startup environments
• Proficiency in building applications with React Native (expertise preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience leading complex projects and designing scalable technical solutions
• Strong coding skills in Typescript, Node.js, and related technologies
• Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Drive the design and implementation of Bubble’s mobile application builder, ensuring robust and scalable architecture
• Architect and optimize deployment pipelines for seamless publishing to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, integrating with existing infrastructure
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and support teams to deliver a consistent and high-quality user experience across web and mobile platforms
• Lead the development of a React Native runtime that integrates with Bubble’s backend systems
• Mentor and coach engineering team members to foster technical growth and leadership
• Partner with executive leadership to define product roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and execute strategic plans effectively
• Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to maintain high standards of quality and reliability
