About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate staff-level software engineer to join our front-end development team. As a core member of our early-stage team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, design, and craftsmanship of our front-end systems. Your expertise will help establish best practices, foster a culture of excellence, and guide the technical direction of our product. You will be instrumental in recruiting and mentoring a world-class engineering team dedicated to advancing Glue’s ambitious vision of revolutionizing work communication in the AI era.

This role involves working on highly UI/UX-focused problems, utilizing modern technologies such as Typescript, React, and GraphQL. You will have the opportunity to influence product features, optimize performance, and experiment with innovative interactions to enhance usability. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on shipping daily while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality, attention to detail, and user experience.

As a technical leader, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure that our platform remains scalable, reliable, and user-centric. Qualifications

• 6+ years of front-end web development experience
• At least 2+ years of experience with Typescript and React
• Deep understanding of web technologies including DOM, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience working with typed backend APIs such as GraphQL
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance, scale, and accuracy
• Proven ability to architect and implement scalable, maintainable front-end solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience maintaining side projects or libraries is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Independent, self-motivated, and proactive in identifying opportunities and improvements
• Ability to balance attention to detail with the need for immediate results
• Optimistic attitude and a collaborative approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality front-end codebases using modern technologies such as Typescript, React, and GraphQL
• Establish and uphold front-end best practices, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate with product teams to define requirements, create prototypes, and implement features that enhance user experience
• Lead efforts in UI/UX design and implementation, focusing on usability, responsiveness, and innovation
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning sessions
• Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, workflows, and development processes
• Contribute to the technical vision and strategic direction of the front-end platform
• Work closely with back-end engineers and designers to deliver cohesive, performant features
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the platform at the forefront of innovation
