FinceAI is an early-stage startup building the FP&A (financial planning and analytics) platform that mid-market and growing finance teams actually want to use. We pull GL data directly from systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Sage, normalize it into a clean schema, and layer AI-driven advisory insights on top. Founded by a CPA with 18+ years experience, FinceAI sits at the intersection of accounting, finance,
and AI. Our mission is to make financial analysis fast, clear, and trustworthy which finance teams can leverage confidently.
Role Description
Part-time | Remote | Unpaid Internship
FinceAI is building its initial product — defining MVP features, talking to customers, and making the
decisions that shape an early-stage company. The intern will help build the interface finance teams actually
touch: the dashboards, data visualizations, and AI insights experience at the core of the platform.
You’ll work directly with the founder and get a front-row seat to how an early-stage fintech is built — from
product decisions to customer conversations to shipping code — while developing the professional skills
needed to thrive in client-facing, high-performance environments.
What You’ll Do
• Build and refine the FinceAI dashboard — financial reports, metrics views, and variance breakdowns
• Design and implement interactive data visualizations using modern charting libraries
• Develop the chart-of-accounts mapping UI and the AI insights experience that lets users trace every
insight back to its source transaction
• Write light backend code as needed to ship features end to end
• Work with the back-end developer and the Founding team
• Join product discussions, customer feedback sessions, and roadmap planning
What We’re Looking For
• Studying for a bachelor or equivalent degree in computer science, software engineering, or a
related field
• Foundational frontend skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic React experience
• Interest in finance, accounting, or FP&A — domain curiosity matters more than expertise
• Self-starter mentality — comfortable figuring things out and asking smart questions
• Organized, detail-oriented, and a clear written communicator
• Available for at least 20 hours per week over the space of 6 months
• Bonus: experience with charting libraries
• Bonus: a portfolio, GitHub, or side projects you can point to
