Job Description: Join a 12-person team that is rebuilding the foundation of the world’s largest industry. Insurance is a $280B market that still runs on outdated infrastructure and manual processes. This company automates claims and improves loss ratios for the world’s largest insurers with applied AI, and they have strong early traction, capital in the bank, and no urgent need to raise. As a Forward Deployed Engineer you will own client deployments end-to-end, from initial scoping through go-live, writing production code on the fly and building relationships with senior stakeholders at major enterprise customers. This is not a support role and it is not a sales role. It is a technical ownership role with real production impact at one of the most selectively backed companies in SF right now.

Location: San Francisco, CA (Mission), Monday through Friday in-office

What you will do:

• Own client deployments end-to-end from discovery through go-live, acting as the primary technical point of contact for senior stakeholders at major enterprise insurers and translating complex AI systems into measurable business outcomes
• Write and deploy production Python code on the fly during client engagements, building and iterating on agentic AI systems that directly improve how the largest insurance companies in the world process claims
• Build deep client relationships, surface product feedback from the field, and work closely with the founding team to shape how the product evolves based on what you are seeing with customers every day

The ideal candidate:

• 1 to 5 years of experience in a technical client-facing role using Python, ideally at a VC-backed startup or in an FDE, solutions architect, or TPM capacity at a high-caliber tech company, with a STEM degree from a top-20 program
• Strong software engineering fundamentals across data structures, algorithms, and system design, with familiarity in LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI concepts, and the ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Highly agentic and proactive, someone who builds client trust naturally, owns problems without being asked, and thrives in a nimble high-ownership environment rather than a large slow-moving org
