Full Job Description
Northern Medical is seeking a full-time Payment Poster to join our Billing Department. We are a growing multi-specialty, multi-site medical practice looking for a detail-oriented candidate with strong knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement processes.
The Payment Poster is responsible for accurate payment entry, reconciliation, and review of insurance and patient payments while ensuring compliance with reimbursement policies and billing guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately and timely
- Interpret and apply denial codes appropriately
- Review and reconcile EOBs and ERAs
- Apply knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes in payment processing
- Understand medical reimbursement policies and payer guidelines
- Utilize medical billing software and payer website resources effectively
- Communicate with billing team members to resolve discrepancies
Qualifications
- Knowledge of payment entry and denial codes required
- Familiarity with CPT codes and ICD-10 codes
- Experience with medical billing software. eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is a plus
- Ability to navigate payer portals and reimbursement policies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
