Join our vibrant seafood marketplace as a Fish Market Staff member and become a vital part of delivering fresh, high-quality seafood to our customers! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handling, preparation, and packaging of fish and other seafood products. Working the retail counter and/or cooking lobsters.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily food production process by preparing fish and seafood items according to established standards
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene practices at all times
• Cut, fillet, and portion seafood using knife skills and meat cutting techniques to meet customer specifications
• Package seafood products securely for retail display or customer take-out, maintaining quality standards
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and storage areas to adhere to food safety regulations
• Support inventory management by organizing stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or quality issues

Requirements

• Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with meat cutting techniques are advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures in the food industry
• Experience working in restaurants or culinary settings is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and precision
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Basic understanding of food packaging, storage, and hygiene practices
