Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, supporting the sales and operations teams, and helping drive profitable growth. The ideal candidate has experience in framing construction, building materials, or component manufacturing (wall panels, trusses, or similar). This role will report to our Estimating Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates from plans, specs, and bid documents
- Analyze, price and manage change order work
- Perform quantity takeoffs and material/labor pricing
- Analyze project risks, scope gaps, and constructability issues
- Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to develop proposals
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Participate in bid reviews and project handoff meetings
Qualifications/Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of estimating experience in construction, lumber, or building components
- Strong understanding of plans, specifications, and takeoffs
- Proficiency in estimating software (PlanSwift), Excel and experience with Procore strongly preferred
- Knowledge of wood framing, trusses, or wall panel systems preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
