Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Entry-Level Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist will provide technical support to end-users, resolve hardware and software issues, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting technical problems, maintaining desktop computers, managing help desk queries, and assisting in IT-related projects. This role requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to meet the day-to-day technology needs of the university’s staff, faculty, and students.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Technical Support, Help Desk Support, and Troubleshooting
- Knowledge of desktop computer setup, maintenance, and configuration
- Understanding of core Information Technology principles and systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with users to resolve issues
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
