Director of Business Operations Full Time NEW

Reports to: COO / VP of Operations / General Manager

Position Summary

The Director of Business Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency, scalability, and alignment with strategic objectives. This role works cross-functionally to drive operational excellence, improve processes, and support business performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage core business operations to ensure efficient and effective execution
• Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and performance frameworks
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, finance, HR, supply chain) to align operations with business goals
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics; provide insights and recommendations
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning processes
• Oversee project execution and ensure timely delivery of key business initiatives
• Build and lead high-performing operations teams
• Support executive leadership with data analysis and operational decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
• 15 years of experience in operations, business management, or related roles
• Proven experience managing cross-functional operations in a complex environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Preferred Experience

• Experience in [industry-specific field, e.g., technology, manufacturing, retail, healthcare]
• Familiarity with ERP systems, data analytics tools, and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
• Experience leading operational transformation or scaling initiatives
