This role partners closely with the Director to oversee operations, support community agencies and municipalities, and ensure effective, equitable delivery of youth services.Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning, organizing, and directing Youth Services programs and operations Provide oversight of departmental programs and staff Support municipalities and partner agencies with program development, budgeting, and funding applications Participate in strategic planning, policy development, and program evaluation Prepare reports and represent the department with community groups, boards, and local government Assist with budget development, grant writing, and resource allocationMinimum Qualifications: Masters degree and 3 years of administrative or supervisory experience, OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of related experience Equivalent combinations of training and experience will be consideredPreferred Skills & Experience: Knowledge of youth development, community-based programming, and public sector operations Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with budgeting, program planning, and interagency collaborationTompkins County is committed to equity and inclusion.
