Job Description:
At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team helps businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently for the future. We’re seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager who will support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy.
Job Responsibility:
- Support Producers by coordinating renewals and new business for commercial accounts
- Gather underwriting information and engage clients to prepare renewal and marketing submissions
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients and carriers
- Strengthen client relationships through clear communication and reliable follow-through
- Request, review, and analyze carrier quotes for accuracy, coverage, and pricing
- Assist with marketing and placement of business
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of policies, endorsements, invoicing, audits, and billing
- Review month-end statements and assist with finance arrangements
- Issue proofs of insurance and manage service follow-ups
- Maintain organized electronic files, suspense systems, and follow-up tracking
- Ensure compliance with agency E&O guidelines and internal procedures
- Provide thoughtful recommendations on coverage options, quotes, and open issues
- Support special projects and process improvements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial insurance account management role
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license
- Strong understanding of commercial lines underwriting and coverages
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience working in Applied Epic or similar agency management systems
- Experience supporting middle-market or complex commercial accounts
