Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to ensure precise documentation of patient health status.
• Support medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings including hospitals (Level I Trauma Centers, ICU, PICU), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and outpatient clinics.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
• Assist in emergency situations utilizing skills in basic life support (BLS), responding swiftly to urgent care needs or trauma incidents.
• Support patients with complex needs such as infectious disease care or post-acute recovery by adhering to infection control protocols and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in the state of employment.
• Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities; prior experience in long-term care, hospital medicine, or home & community care is highly valued.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe patient care.
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting (Hoyer lift), repositioning patients, and assisting with mobility; must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus.
• Certifications in basic life support (BLS) and familiarity with infection control protocols required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or hospice care are advantageous.
