The Role
As our Founding Business Development Manager, you will be the architect of our outbound engine. This is a high-impact role involving the development and execution of sales strategies to identify new business opportunities and form strategic partnerships.
You’ll manage the full sales pipeline, build deep relationships with key stakeholders, and work closely with the CEO to develop tailored logistics solutions. We need a proactive “hunter” who is passionate about modernizing the $800B+ logistics industry.
What You’ll Do
- Pipeline Architecture: Build and execute a multi-channel outbound strategy to generate a high-quality pipeline.
- Strategic Hunting: Pursue new business opportunities with mid-market and enterprise shippers.
- Relationship Management: Form and nurture strategic partnerships that drive long-term growth.
- Solution Design: Collaborate internally to create customized, technology-driven logistics solutions for clients.
- Performance Metrics: Use analytical skills to track sales forecasting and optimize performance.
- Revenue Generation: Own a first-year sourced revenue target of $750k – $1M, proving the scalability of the Direct-Connect model.
Qualifications
- Proven Growth: Experience in Business Development, Sales Strategy, and hitting revenue targets.
- Logistics Expert: Background in the logistics or supply chain industry is highly advantageous.
- Master Communicator: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills with a polish for enterprise-level rooms.
- Analytical Mind: Strong skills in market research and sales metrics.
- Hybrid Ready: Ability to balance on-site presence in Richardson with remote flexibility.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
