Bilingual Office Assistant Full Time

St. Barnabas, an Independence Mission School, is seeking a bilingual (Vietnamese or Spanish speaking) Office Assistant who will report directly to the school principal.

Position Description

• Support with translation services, including conversations with families and students, as well as written communications
• Support parents and families in the submission of documentation for applications, enrollment, scholarships and tuition payments
• Support ENL (English as a New Language) students
• Utilize school software to monitor and track daily student attendance
• Act as point of contact for parents and guardians regarding daily attendance
• Work with School Principal to proactively address attendance issues
• Copies, filing, and other office tasks as directed
• Ability to assist classroom teacher in all requested duties related to student supports, classroom instruction, classroom preparation, student safety and hygienic needs, lunch, recess, behavior supports and behavior management and other duties as assigned throughout a 10-month school year
• Demonstrate ongoing flexibility by performing other duties as needed or as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma required (college preferred)
• Bilingual in Vietnamese or Spanish
• Careful attention to detail
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Must be able to clear all background checks

Other Pertinent Information

• Full-Time, paid bi-weekly
• 40 hours per week
• 7:30-3:30
