Electrical Superintendent (BESS / Utility-Scale Energy)
$130,000-$180,000 Base Salary | Contract-to-Hire | Southwest Travel | Per Diem Provided

We are actively hiring Electrical Superintendents to support a rapidly growing portfolio of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the Southwest region .
This role is structured as a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity , with conversion to full-time employment based on performance, leadership capability, and team fit . It’s an excellent opportunity to prove yourself quickly on high-visibility projects with one of the Top 3 EPCs in the industry .
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking superintendents who:
Have progressed through the electrical trade with strong hands-on field experience
Have led crews, coordinated scopes of work, and driven productivity on active job sites
Want long-term opportunities on large, impactful energy infrastructure projects
Are willing to travel extensively within the Southwest , supported by per diem
Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is a significant advantage , but candidates from power, renewable, or utility-scale electrical construction backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
Lead electrical field execution on utility-scale energy and BESS projects
Oversee safety, quality, schedule adherence, and productivity
Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
Serve as the on-site electrical authority, resolving constructability and technical challenges
Partner with engineering, procurement, and project management teams
Perform inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and project specifications
Mentor assistant superintendents, foremen, and craft personnel
Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
Required Qualifications
Career growth through the electrical trade (journeyman-to-leadership path strongly preferred)
Experience supervising electrical construction in industrial, utility, renewable, or energy environments
Proven ability to lead crews and make independent, sound field decisions
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (or ability to obtain)
Willingness to travel throughout the Southwest region
Highly Preferred Experience
Direct experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
NFPA 70E “Qualified Person” designation
Utility-scale electrical, renewable energy, substation, or power distribution experience
Workforce dispatching, field scheduling, and multi-crew coordination
Compensation & Structure
Base salary range: $130,000-$180,000 , dependent on experience and project complexity
6-month contract-to-hire , with full-time conversion based on performance and team fit
Per diem provided for Southwest travel assignments
Strong project backlog supporting long-term employment and career advancement

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.50 – $89.00/hr.
